Job Description




Perform laboratory support functions.



Specific Requirements:



This is an entry level position in a Manufacturing group that is responsible for producing reagents for in-vitro diagnostic assays. Candidates with limited laboratory experience will be considered. Applicants with industrial experience and knowledge of GMP/ISO will be preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic and professional demeanor.



Key Responsibilities:

Perform general laboratory support functions to maintain laboratory cleanliness, operation, and safety.



Including:

Supports production operations with routine stocking, cleaning of manufacturing areas, other lab support duties
Low complexity manufacturing operations (buffer mfg) and equipment support (column maintenance, equipment maintenance and/or cleaning)
glassware washing
Material inventory monitoring support
Collaborating with laboratory biochemists to order required buffers to meet weekly schedule
Support Buffer manufacturing lab as needed
5S audits of laboratories for adherence to cleanliness, maintenance, and organization expectations
High school diploma with strength in science and math or relevant work experience, or B.S./B.A./A.S. in relevant field
The ideal candidate will be proficient in time management, possess well developed interpersonal skills, demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, and exhibit attention to detail.


Required Skills:
Basic proficiency in MS Office.

Experience:
Laboratory experience is required, but no field experience is necessary.

Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills with colleagues and managers.

Education Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is required. A college degree is not necessary.



Notes:

General work hours are from 8 am to 5 pm, with flexibility on the start time as long as an 8-hour workday is maintained.
