Position Overview

Perform basic functions and activities involved in defined research projects, principally involve purification and characterization of human biospecimen derivatives, from both biofluids and tissue/tumors, to better understand protein expression and other parameters in human samples from clinical research studies including those from COVID-19, cancer and others in BSL-2+ certified laboratories. Independently conduct, analyze, and present experiments under the support and guidance of faculty investigators and other leadership in the center.

General understanding of scientific principles. Demonstrated performance to use knowledge and skills when needed.
Ability to maintain detailed records of experiments and outcomes.
General computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs, databases, and scientific applications.

Number of hours per week: 40

The schedule may flex based on management's need to meet the lab's daily operational needs (flexibility is expected with the possibility of shifts ranging within the operational hours of 7:00am-7:30pm); however, the "typical" schedule for this position would be 10-6:30pm (Monday-Friday).
