Position Overview


Assist the three lead case managers and program manager in investigating, monitoring and supporting families affected by lead exposure throughout the client.


Role Summary:

This role focuses on data collection, entry, education, surveillance support and coordination with local health departments and other healthcare agencies. The role completes many of the day-to-day tasks required in order to ensure local health departments can actively manage cases of lead poisoned children throughout the client.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Support client case managers on non-confirmed cases. Track these cases in the client’s case management system ensuring local health departments are opening, updating, and closing cases as appropriate
2. Audit non-confirmed cases and make suggestions to follow-up on, or close, cases as appropriate
3. Enter and monitor lead results that are reported to the client
4. Investigate reporting issues, invalid results, questionable entries into client systems including CHIRP, LDF, NBS, etc.
5. Participate in quarterly testing report reviews with case managers to identify any trends or issues that they need to address
6. Monitor and address tasks related to case management queues (including document review, approval, and closure)
7. Track required fields for confirmed cases (i.e. case status, home visit, nutritional & developmental assessment, risk assessments) and coordinate with staff if missing or incomplete.
8. Assist, as needed, with providing backup support on required daily processes including system approvals, fax receipt and lead result entry.

Skill - Required / Desired Amount of Experience
Working knowledge of laws, rules and regulations relating to lead (heavy metal) and healthy homes (specifically 410 IAC 29) - Desired
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, webinar/conference call technology - Required
Able to effectively communicate in an oral and written format to professionals and non-professionals - Required
Bachelors Degree - Required
Strong organizational skills and the ability to track progress on cases in several dozen counties concurrently - Required
