The client is seeking competitive proposals from qualified recruitment firms to provide professional recruitment services for the identification, recruitment, screening, and placement of highly qualified Licensed Psychologists into full-time (FTE) positions at client.The selected contractor will partner with client to develop recruitment strategies, actively source candidates nationwide, and assist throughout the recruitment and hiring process with the goal of increasing the number of qualified Licensed Psychologists employed by the hospital.BackgroundThe client is one of state psychiatric hospitals providing specialized inpatient behavioral health services to adults with serious mental illness, forensic patients, and individuals participating in specialized treatment programs. The client is committed to recruiting highly qualified psychologists who demonstrate clinical excellence, professionalism, ethical practice, and a commitment to serving individuals with complex behavioral health needs.
Scope of ServicesThe Contractor shall provide comprehensive recruitment services, including but not limited to:Candidate SourcingDevelop recruitment strategies targeted toward Licensed Psychologists.Conduct national and regional recruitment campaigns.Utilize professional networks and recruitment databases.Recruit passive and active candidates.Advertise positions using appropriate professional channels.Network with doctoral psychology programs and internship sites.
Candidate ScreeningThe Contractor shall:
Conduct preliminary candidate screening.Verify education and licensure.Evaluate experience related to forensic psychiatry, serious mental illness, competency restoration, civil commitment, and related behavioral health populations.Verify employment history.Conduct professional reference checks.Present qualified candidates to client.Candidate RecruitmentThe Contractor shall actively recruit candidates through:Direct outreachProfessional organizationsSocial mediaNational psychology associationsAPA divisionsAPPIC internship and postdoctoral networksState psychological associationsUniversity doctoral programsRecruitment Process SupportThe Contractor shall:Coordinate candidate communication.Assist candidates throughout the hiring process.Provide regular recruitment updates.Maintain communication with applicants until hire.Minimum Candidate QualificationsCandidates referred by the Contractor shall possess, at minimum:Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Forensic Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or other qualifying psychology discipline.Eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB).Ability to obtain employment within a state psychiatric hospital.Ability to successfully pass all required background investigations.Experience working with serious mental illness is required and forensic populations, inpatient psychiatry, or related behavioral health settings is preferred.
