Position Summary:Mailroom ClerkDuties/Responsibilities:Sort and Deliver mail via walking or using a van.Tracking, tracing and updating the status of shipments using SQBX system/scanners.Pick up departmental mail daily.Operate Mailroom machinery postage meter, photocopying machine/Fax.Accountable for mail-received, vendor deliveries, verify shipments.Process outgoing Mail Pick- ups and deliver according to service schedules.Assists with acceptance and delivery of packages from carriers.Cross Train in various department functions and buildings.Performs other related duties as assigned.SKILLS/ABILITIES:Good communication skills.Basic understanding of or the ability to learn locations and organizational structure of the company.Ability to correctly sort and distribute substantial amounts of mail.Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.Uses applicable systems tools and resources to respond to inquiries received.Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail.Requirements:Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds at times.Must be able to traverse the office facilities to pick up mail several times of day.Must have a valid driver’s license.Must have a verifiable High School Diploma or GED.The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities: recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as mail totes/boxes/pallets etc.ExperienceWe will trainPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift 50 lbs. at timesMust be able to traverse the office facilities to pick up mail several times of dayThe work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stretching, reaching and other similar activities.
