Description:The Maintenance Technician will maintain and repair equipment for poly pipe production, support installation and upgrades of control systems, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, prepare fault reports to plan maintenance schedules, and work collaboratively to minimize machine downtime.3 years min experience in maintenance role or service tech role which includes mechanical and electronic repairs.As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:Maintaining and repairing equipment used in the production of poly pipeProviding support for the installation, upgrade, maintenance and inspection of control systems with projects to deliver enhancements to systems to improve performance and reliabilityUndertaking emergency troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment to determine fault and provide resolutionPreparing reports on machine faults and errors to identify and create maintenance scheduleWorking individually and collaboratively to reduce machine outages and stoppagesTo be successful in this role you should:Have a High School diploma or equivalent level of educationHave 3+ years of experience in an electrical / electronic repair industrial environmentHave strong mechanical abilitiesExperience with PLC, HMI, VFD, Controls Electronics or CNC controlsDemonstrate strong experience with automations in an industrial or manufacturing environmentHave the ability to disassemble equipment, diagnose problems and reassemble in a safe and proficient mannerShow experience with predictive maintenance management concepts and the ability to use advanced devices to perform diagnosisBe able to translate complex technical information in an easy to understand manner to assist with decision makingNotes:2nd shift 8pm to 8amVIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
