Description:Responsibilities / Tasks of the Role:Supporting safety culture and driving a safe to start mindset.Operating special purpose equipment, conventional (lathe and/or mill).Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required.Selecting, aligning, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.Reading and interpreting documents such as OEM drawings, REI’s, Work Instructions, and Digital Routers.Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD & T).
