Description:
As an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer at the client Commercial Products, you will provide assembly ME support and basic troubleshooting for current operations.
Key Responsibilities
Drive improvement projects positively impact Safety, Quality, Cost, and Efficiency with Natural Work Group and operator engagement.
Support implementation of new products and manage ECN/CI change control for current production.
Research, initiate, and execute safety and ergonomic improvement activities and projects.
Rigorously execute assembly process audits.
Lead the analysis, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
What Skills You Need
Plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for projects or processes of moderate scope, or for significant portions of major, diverse projects.
Assign, coordinate, and review work completed by support personnel, including contractors.
Develop and maintain routings, methods, layouts, tooling, cost estimates, standard work documentation, quality plans, and labor standards for new or revised operations.
Provide day to day support and troubleshooting for current operations.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify and implement effective solutions.
Identify, innovate, and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvements.
Utilize electronic tools across a wide range of applications, including e builds, modeling, and simulations.
Develop and implement lean manufacturing improvements in alignment with the client Production System.
Design operations layouts and drive improvements in material flow and part presentation.
Lead team studies related to capacity, energy usage, productivity, and efficiency.
Lead the development, analysis, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
Analyze and modify existing performance pay plans; assist in developing baseline data for new plans.
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience with the client specific manufacturing software client Assembly Assist Tool), MPP (Manufacturing Process Planner).
Experience implementing changes in a production environment through negotiation and conflict resolution.
Experience with SAP, PDM, CREO, Auto CAD
Experience with line design, DLBT, time study, line balance, and cost/pay structure.
Capital project experience.
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering /technology discipline or equivalent work experience.
