Assembly Manufacturing Engineer
Major Purpose
Plans, coordinates, and performs manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operates in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fullment process. At this level, projects are of limited scope and responsibility; work plans and decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. May assign coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel and contractors.
Major Duties
Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems.
Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.
Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards.
Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan.
Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice.
Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities. Use established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver products.
Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Specific Position Requirements
Your Responsibilities
As an OFP Assembly ME, supporting the Loader Cabs assembly line, you will:
Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Lead and manage small to moderate scope capital projects
Establish and maintain layouts, labor standards, methods and sequence of events for assembly operations
Analyze, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies
Provide support and troubleshooting for current assembly operations
What Skills You Need
1 or more years of experience with manufacturing processes, quality, tooling, preventative maintenance, and facilities
Experience with engineering tools and manufacturing execution systems
Experience leading and implementing projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills with operators, peers, and leadership
Self-motivated and able to execute with minimal supervision
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology discipline or equivalent related work experience (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical engineering preferred)
Strong personal accountability, follow-through, and ability to foster a positive, engaged team environment Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas for loader cab assembly operations
Notes:
1st Shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM OT hours if requested - between 5-8 hours
