The client is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team at our Manufacturing Facility. This facility?has the?flexibility to build?Class 6-7 trucks and is currently expanding to a 2nd shift. These positions will be used to bolster 1st Shift while experienced team members train and launch the new shift. The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting daily operations by responding to defects and downtime found during the course of the shift. Engineers manage a Top 10 list of priorities for their customer focusing their efforts on balance, standardization, visualization, elimination of downtime and defects. Priorities for our Engineers projects are as follows: Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, Delivery and lastly Cost.This is Senior Engineer position requiring demonstrated experience in communication, customer relations, problem solving and small to medium project management.Responsibilities:Be willing to learn and embrace our Production & Logistics Way of working, the cultural model and methods we utilize to operate our businessActive participation in a cross-functional support team of 4-6 members working together to support Operations in downtime resolution, problem solving, drawings, assembly process and continuous improvementActive participation in Operations RTMs, Pulse Mtg’s while cascading outcomes to Engineering RTMs. (Real Time Management)As needed, develop, document and maintain documents that standardize operations, including but not limited to PFMEA, SWI, OPL, Kaizen forms, and other process documentsParticipate in corrective actions related to internal or external defectsManage the Top 10 priorities for your area of the line to include purchasing procedures, light project work, design solutions, vendor management, solution validation and proper buyoffs with customersOn routine or repeat tasks, candidates must be able to operate independently with little guidance while being a positive contributor to a team environmentSkills:Must have excellent technical, verbal, written and presentation communication skillsDemonstrated proficiency in reading and applying Engineering drawingsComputer literacy is required with a familiarity of MS Outlook, PowerPoint and WordSkills in Excel, Minitab or Power Bi are highly preferredProject management skills/experience highly preferredMust lead by example and have a proven record of excellence in attendance, dependability and safetyMust be self-motivated, well organized, flexible and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operationPPE Required: Safety Toe shoes, Ear-Plugs, Safety GlassesNotes:OnsiteFirst Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:30am-4:00pm (possible OT on Fridays as needed)
