In this role as a 3rd shift welding manufacturing engineer, you will have responsibilities related to keeping production running during 3rd shift operations in the Fabrication department at client Works.Duties will include but are not limited to, supporting operators as well and maintenance and other salary support staff. This could include trouble shooting MES systems, robot weld stations, manual weld stations as well as other automated equipment or processes. Such processes could be our Continuous Improvement processes, SERA process, repair processes or process documentation updates. This role will require weekend support depending on production needs.Responsibilities could expand into controls work or data science work as ability permits.Additional responsibilities will include project development, project documentation, and project implementation work as time permits.Experience with manual and robotic welding systems. Fanuc Preferred.Experience with MES systems in a fabrication environment.Ability to support production through execution of new or existing processes.Ability to troubleshoot automated and manual processes.Ability to communicate in English, verbal and written.Ability to troubleshoot manual welding fixtures, automated welding fixtures, read manufacturing prints (GD&T).Ability to navigate ambiguous situations.Ability to work alone as well as in a group setting.Ability to follow up with communications, questions, or work tickets.Ability to document work.Ability to develop and document processes.Ability to use Microsoft products such as Excel and Outlook.Notes:3rd shift hours, 10pm to 6am. Overtime will be required. Weekend coverage will be required.
