Material Handler

Examples of General Tasks Related to Material Handler Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Follow all company-wide rules and regulations to ensure your safety and the safety of your coworkers.
Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
Interpret customer drawings and assemble them per customer’s specifications.
Manually set up cable cutting machine to job specification as indicated on the spec sheet.
Must have knowledge of basic measurements and conversion (inches, feet, and meters).
Use tools to set up and adjust cutting machinery.
Identify any defective items and handle them according to established procedures.
Perform basic autonomous maintenance of machinery that they operate.
Other duties as assigned such as cycle counting, physical inventory, pulling of material from racks, etc.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Operates any equipment needed to perform the job.
Performs related duties as needed by supervisor.
Manages the shipment of products, materials, and supplies.
Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment of products.
Tracks, traces, and updates the status of outgoing shipments.
Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
Shovel and sweep work areas.
Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts. (Preferred, not required)
Aids in the production of wiring assemblies.
Scanning and sorting outgoing stock
Pulling, packing, and loading material to prepare for transport.
Supports management of the shipment of products, materials, and supplies.

Good written and verbal communication skills
Computer savvy
Strong sense of time organization and urgency
Able to work independently and within a team.
