Mechanical AssemblerWe are looking for a Mechanical Assembler- 2nd shift (3:00p - 11:30p). As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building, assembling, and wiring of Medium and Low Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, such as LV Motor Control Centers, MV breakers, MV switchgear and Motor Control Centers, DC Electrical Vehicle Chargers and Solar Inverters.Roles & ResponsibilitiesAssembly and wire LV MCC breakers, structures, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts ordersPerform Sub assembly work including mechanical assembly of steel and components, control wiring, power cable work, and interconnection of control wiresRecord appropriate job record transactionsRead BOM, follow layouts & assembly drawings,Perform some basic wiring per given instructions when requestedSet and correct use of Torque wrenchesAdhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improveMust adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and othersPerform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or ManagementYou’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic QualificationsMust be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionallyCommunicate in English (read, write & speak fluently)Must have a proven record in Quality and ProductivityMust be a strong team playerConform with Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policy and Management System and strive to continual improve the intended outcomes of the Management System.Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED1+ years of experience performing mechanical assembly or experience in the mechanical fieldForklift driver experienceSAP experienceAble to Identify mechanical parts and electrical componentsExperience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operatedKnowledge of torque wrench and applied torque valuesExperience with using a tape measure and other measuring devicesNote :Duration: 90 days with ability for permanentRemote/OnSite: onsiteHours of the Shift : 3:00pm – 11:30pm M-F (2nd shift)Training will be done on 1st shift for a few days prior to being moved to the 2nd shiftAdditional Orientation Details:-two days on first shift for orientation and then they will have to begin on 2nd shift for training due to the lack of room we currently have on 1st shift.VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
