DescriptionAs a Mechanical Assembler in Aero you will perform various operations including but not limited to; disassembly, inspection and reassembly of rotating equipment including gas turbines units, and centrifugal compressors from multiple OEM's.As a Gas Turbine Mechanic you will troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform the visual inspection of Rotating Equipment. Whilst assisting in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment, you will perform all test with minimal instruction. You will provide technical support across the business whilst complying with HS&E policies.As a Gas Turbine Mechanic, you will be responsible for:Demonstrating familiarity with hand, pneumatic and hydraulic tooling Accurately use precision measuring equipment (ID / OD / depth micrometers, calipers, etc.)Possessing a deep mechanical aptitude with ability to independently comprehend complex machining or assembly drawingsWorking as a team member to follow detailed work routers for inspection and repair of units and rotating equipment while under time constraintsProviding On-Site support as neededTo be successful in this role you will:Have a High School Diploma or equivalent diplomaHave minimum 5 years of overhaul and repair experience in at least one of the following areas: GE10, PGT 10/PGT 25, Frame 3/Frame 5Have good knowledge of HSE requirements and be able to follow and update safety policies and proceduresNotes:Onsite VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
