The Designer will work onsite under limited supervision to prepare mechanical designs and drawings utilizing NX1980 and Teamcenter, correctly applying the ASME Y14.5-M-1994 (or higher) GD&T standard. This work will be done to support LBNF project within TD. The work will be done using Design/Drafting procedures, working to meet project schedules and other requirements, and will include working directly with the engineering staff working on the projects to research and analyze design solutions, coordinate design development, and specify and select design components and materials.

The Contractor shall be physically capable of performing CAD design activities at a computer workstation for approximately eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week. The work requires:
Prolonged sitting and sustained computer workstation use.
Frequent and repetitive use of a keyboard, mouse, and other computer input devices.
Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements.
Ability to visually inspect detailed CAD models, drawings, dimensions, and other technical information on computer monitors for extended periods.
Ability to work effectively in a typical office or engineering workstation environment for the duration of the scheduled workday.

A candidate with work experience in the following areas is desired:
Demonstrate acceptable proficiency in NX1980 CAD via an interview through the ZOOM meeting portal.
A minimum of 10 years of experience using NX with Teamcenter
A minimum of 5 years of recent experience as Designer.
Ability to create 3D cad models using advanced features.
Ability to create 2D drawings using GD&T with proper applications.
Ability to deliver a quality work product to deadline-driven projects.

Deliverables:
Design tolerance and stack up calculations, layout designs, detailing, advanced level 3D models, and 2D drawings required for the project.

Deliverable Format and Quantity:
3D models and 2D drawings are completed in NX1980, managed in Teamcenter. Quantity will be directed by the client for each task.

Quality Assurance:
Work shall be performed in accordance with the the client QAM and APS-TD and Design/Drafting Procedures. All work will be reviewed, checked, and approved by the client staff responsible for the specific task.
