Description:Occupational Health Nurse (Staff)Works within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and provide occupational health and safety services in an effort to help reduce and treat work injuries and illness as well as providing generalized health and wellness programs. Works in collaboration with Human Resources in monitoring medical leave of absences, disability and workers’ compensation case management, new employee exams, lab testing, fit for duty exams, and medical placement exams. Manages and protects all medical records; including individual employee health records in accordance with company policy and federal laws. Administers medication according to company standing order protocols and the in-state Nurse Practice Act rules.As a level in the Professional Track, work is accomplished through independent contributions or project work requiring advanced subject area knowledge and decision-making skills.Requiring knowledge and experience in own discipline, applies company policies and practices/procedures to resolve various issues or problems of moderate scope. Exercises judgment within defined, standard practices/procedures to determine appropriate action.
