PROJECT MANAGER – WEB OPERATIONSPRIMARY OBJECTIVE• The Project Manager - Web Operations. Oversee the execution of enterprise-wide web development projects, delivering a cohesive web presence for client’s District Office and seven colleges. This role ensures timely delivery and alignment with institutional goals. The ideal candidate combines expertise in project management methodology, vendor coordination, and business process analysis with hands-on knowledge of web technologies.RESPONSIBILITIESProject Management and Execution:• Plan, organize, and oversee web projects to ensure milestones and deliverables are met on time and within scope.• Coordinate and align with vendor project managers, internal client stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and integration.• Monitor and report on project progress, addressing challenges, and identifying risks with actionable mitigation plans.• Assist with change management initiatives to support project adoption and long-term success.Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration:• Serve as the primary point of contact between client and external vendors, ensuring vendor accountability and deliverable quality.• Facilitate communication and alignment between Marketing, IT, and other client departments to meet project goals and requirements.• Lead and participate in weekly meetings to gather input, provide updates, and ensure alignment with institutional priorities.• Lead launch and testing plans for releases.Communication and Change Management:• Develop and implement a comprehensive project communication strategy to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including timelines, reports, and presentations for leadership and stakeholder review.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions and user adoption of the new web platforms.• Assist web training activities to client community.Web and Technical Expertise:• Leverage knowledge of web development processes, CMS platforms, and front-end technologies to contribute to project discussions and problem-solving.• Ensure alignment with accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA) and usability best practices.• Provide hands-on support for web-related tasks as needed, including troubleshooting and quality assurance.QUALIFICATIONSEducation:• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Web Development, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience or certifications considered.Experience:• Minimum of five years of project management experience, preferably in web redesign or digital transformation projects.• Experience with enterprise-level website implementations and managing large-scale projects in a higher education setting is highly desirable.• Hands-on experience with web technologies, CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal), and digital design principles.Technical Skills:• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).• Familiarity with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA).• Understanding of content management systems and their role in enterprise web strategies.Soft Skills:• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.• Proactive problem-solving and adaptability in a dynamic project environment.• The PM will manage the multiple Web projects and implementations in coordination with the client Marketing team • Higher Ed experience is required (not necessarily as a PM)• Must have experience as a Web project manager• Must have at least 5 years total as a project manager and worked on multiple WordPress Web implementationsNote:Remote Work: Must have a stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 300 Mbps.Hours: Full-time position, with potential for flexible scheduling to accommodate project timelines.9-5pm CST.VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
