Description:We are hiring a contract Pilot Manufacturing Line Engineer/Supervisor to lead a new production line that is being created to run low volume on a new product. This position involves helping to get this line up and running, staffing it with contract help, and leading the team to meet production goals.You’ll be responsible for leading a production line of around 10 – 20 assemblers and technicians. Other responsibilities include:Help hire and train new employeesPrioritize and manage workload with allocation of resourcesAddress concerns with line employees and maintain a safe, productive working environmentAssist in manufacturing process development in collaboration with Design & site Manufacturing engineers.Assist in troubleshooting of new equipment, identifying and resolving issues under supervision.Order materials, maintain inventory with revision level and record retentionAssist in establishing and documenting NPI production processes and revising them as conditions change.Coordinate shipping of production ordersMake decisions to up-hold client's quality expectations. Manage quarantine of materials and manage sorting/retesting when requiredRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM discipline, or a two-year technical degree with a long history of success in this type of roleExperience supervising a team of employeesTwo or more years of process engineering or manufacturing experienceBasic troubleshooting skills and ability to support process optimization.Experience with precision measurement equipment and methods.Ability to analyze problems and contribute to developing practical solutionsAbility to work well in a team environment and resolve conflicts in the organizationExperience using ExcelFlexibility in taking on responsibilities outside the formal job description as required for the success of the projectYou Will Excite Us If You Have:Materials Planning experienceExperience with custom automated equipmentExperience with assembly of small components VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
