Position Overview


Hybrid Role (2-3 days onsite)

Position Summary
The Senior Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Functional SME is responsible for leading solution design, functional configuration, testing, and production support across Oracle EBS Release 12 versions, This role partners closely with business stakeholders in Finance, Procurement, and Operations to deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient solutions across modules such as AP, AR, GL, PO, iProcurement, FA, CE, PA, and SLA. The Functional SME brings deep subject-matter expertise in Oracle EBS business processes, cross-module integrations, and functional design approaches, while collaborating with technical teams for RICEW object delivery.


Key Responsibilities
Functional Solution Design & Configuration
Lead end-to-end functional design activities including requirements gathering, gap analysis, conference room pilots, and design documentation (BRDs, MD50 inputs).
Configure Oracle EBS modules in alignment with organizational processes, financial controls, and audit requirements.
Define and validate cross-module integrations such as P2P, O2C, B2R, FA?GL, PA?GL, and SLA accounting flows.

RICEW Collaboration & Support
Partner with technical teams for Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Workflows—including guiding functional requirements, validating technical designs, and ensuring alignment with governance standards.
Conduct functional validation and testing of RICEW objects before moving through patching and migration cycles.

Testing & Release Management
Lead UAT cycles including test script creation, execution coordination, defect triage, and stakeholder sign-off.
Support major releases, quarterly patching, and upgrades in conjunction with the organization's EBS instance management practices.
Validate functional impacts from patches and assist in production readiness review checkpoints.

Production Support & Issue Resolution
Serve as the escalation point for complex functional issues, performing root-cause analysis across subledgers, SLA, and integrations.
Troubleshoot workflow routing, approval hierarchies, AME rules, and accounting events.
Maintain and govern master data related to suppliers, customers, assets, projects, and banking setups.

Compliance, Controls & Documentation
Ensure solutions adhere to internal controls, audit requirements, and separation-of-duties standards.
Create and maintain SOPs, functional documentation, configuration trackers, and training materials for business users and internal teams.
Support reconciliation activities and partner with Finance stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and process compliance.

Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a primary liaison among Finance, Procurement, Operations, and IT teams.
Translate complex business needs into actionable functional requirements with clarity and accuracy.
Support governance boards, roadmap planning discussions, and process improvement initiatives.


Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of Oracle EBS Functional experience with at least 3–5 years on R12.2.x, specifically 12.2.12.
Deep functional knowledge across multiple modules (AP, AR, GL, PO, FA, CE, PA, iProcurement, and SLA).
Strong understanding of accounting principles, procurement rules, and enterprise financial process flows.
Proven ability to write and review functional documents (BRD, MD50 inputs, test scripts, configuration workbooks).
Experience driving EBS patching, upgrades, and production cutovers.
Familiarity with OIC-based integrations and interface-driven workflows aligned with patterns.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting organizations with strict compliance, audit, and SOD governance.
Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure-hosted EBS environments.
Prior involvement in ERP Modernization or large-scale transformation programs.
