A Brief OverviewApplies highly developed skills to provide medication therapy management and clinical consultation to healthcare professionals by staying updated with evidence-based practices and monitoring adverse events. Contributes to quality improvement initiatives and delivers patient education by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and engaging in clinical research and teaching. Ensures patient safety and enhances overall healthcare outcomes through expert clinical pharmacy services. Requires a Pharmacist license (PharmD) and dispenses prescriptions to patients/customers/members.What you will doDelivers drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers while advising the patient's medical team on drug interactions, contraindications, and other relevant information to ensure proper and accurate drug therapy.Forecasts critical business opportunities in order to contribute to the development of meaningful solutions to drive growth and improve performance in the pharmacy.Implements processes for monitoring storage and inventory of medications and supplies to contribute to the company's overall revenue and profitability targets.Assists the Pharmacy Manager by supporting the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and identifying ways to optimize pharmacy financials, inventory management, and patient experience.Conducts clinical and wellness services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, disease state management, and other healthcare services.Confers with insurance companies and medical providers while also participating in 3rd-party audits to ensure industry-proven best practices are instilled within the company's strategies and end product offerings.Develops good connections with the local medical community including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to successfully enhance the company's brand recognition and competitive advantage in the industry.Develops the Pharmacy Support Staff by balancing assignments that maximize colleagues’ strengths, address development opportunities, and decrease knowledge gaps.Helps establish customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a consistent experience.For this role you will need Minimum RequirementsLess than 5 years work experience1 year of home infusion or hospital setting is PREFERREDAdvanced problem solving and decision making skills.Advanced knowledge of medical terminology.Advanced collaboration and teamwork skills.Advanced growth mindset skills (agility and developing yourself and others).Advanced skills in execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting).Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate option.Advanced digital literacy skills.Appropriate state license required (SC Pharmacist). Experience in home infusion therapy is preferred. Basic computer skills required. Strong organizational skill, interpersonal skills and detail orientation important for this position. Minimum of one year's pharmacy experience in a home infusion or hospital setting preferred. Epic system knowledge a plus.EducationBachelor's degree in pharmacy or Pharm D. required with at least one year experience as a pharmacist. Must have an active license in good standing (SC).Notes:OnsiteShift: M-F with 8 hour shift between the hours of 8am and 6pm. On call rotation will be required.
