Description:Position SummaryThis position takes incoming calls from members, providers, etc., providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria-based prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist.Also assist with the prior authorization process, data entry, filling of prescriptions, and helping walk-in patients. Help with other functions as directed by the site leader.DutiesAt least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician coordinating activities in an administrative support function.National pharmacy technician certification. Eligible for state registration, certification, or licensure per state regulations.Advanced computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet utilization.Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) are a must.ExperienceMinimum of one (1) year experience required in a customer service position with high-volume call center experience, preferably in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position.EducationA verifiable high school diploma or GED is required.The state license would be a requirement.The national certification is preferred but is not required.The state of Colorado will issue a provisional technician license for 18 months to allow time for national certification.Notes:Availability between Mon-Fri 8AM to 6 PMThe positions would be 100% on-site.VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
