Description:This position takes in-coming calls from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to all callers.This role also helps prepare medications (counting, applying labels) for pharmacist final verification along with any other pharmacy technician job functions that could include the following:Communication with patients, prescribers, and colleagues. Frequent phone conversations, emails, faxes.Fulfillment of prescriptions, packaging medications for shipment, processing copays, researching financial assistance.Complete order entry and refills under the supervision of the pharmacist.Inventory management and storage, complete appropriate documentation, such as labels, log sheets and reports.Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.Minimum year experience as a pharmacy technician or closely related roleMinimum one year experience required in a customer service position taking inbound calls, help with counting and preparing medications for pharmacist verification.Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization.Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must.Education:Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.Pharmacy Technician license is required.Notes:Mon-Fri 8:30-5:00pmOnsite as needed VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
