Description:DutiesAs a Pharmacy Technician in a growing segment of healthcare, specialty pharmacy, you will work with specialized and complex therapies that are delivered to patients. Key responsibilitiesCommunication with patients, prescribers, and colleagues. Frequent phone conversations, emails, faxes. Fulfillment of prescriptions, packaging medications for shipment, processing copays, researching financial assistance.Complete order entry and refills under the supervision of the pharmacist.Inventory management and storage, complete appropriate documentation, such as labels, log sheets and reports.Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.Basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization.Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must. Specialty Pharmacy experience is a plus.ExperienceRetail, specialty pharmacy experience, mail order pharmacyAt least 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician.Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must. Specialty Pharmacy experience is a plus.EducationVerifiable High School diploma or GED is required.Notes:Monday through Friday, 9:30AM-6PMOnsite as neededPer manager: just CA state pharmacy technician licensure is required.
