Description:

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
This position will be a part of the team responsible for supporting Microsoft Power Platform and Power Bi. They will also be involved with supporting the day-to-day operations associated with Power BI. Emphasis will be placed on evaluating and modernizing financial reporting capabilities using Power Bi. Due to the volume of financial systems, interdependencies, and structured and unstructured data sources additional staff is needed to support this effort. The team will ensure solutions are set up following industry best practices to ensure strategic initiatives and compliance with the client regulatory laws and ensure business continuity.

Candidates should be self-motivated, team-oriented, work under limited supervision, and respond to priority tasks as needed.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Emphases for the Web/Internet candidate will be support of our Microsoft 365 Government G3 Power platform and Power Bi dashboards and reporting to support the client and modernization of financial reporting capabilities.

Specific duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Support and develop visual reports, scorecards, and dashboards using Power Bi desktop and PowerPlatform.
Work with financial staff to understand business needs and requirements.
Evaluate various financial data sources and evaluate complex formulas to define and implement data strategy for data transformation
Ensure security associated with data sources and Power Bi products.
Create DAX queries and advanced-level calculations on data sets based on reporting requirements

Develop, modify, test, implement, and support dashboards and backend data modeling workflow within Microsoft Azure and Power platform
Expand capabilities through the creation of new data workflow, reports, and dashboards
Assist with design and implementation of data structures within the environment and associated data sources associated with financial systems.
Programming DAX, SQL,
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Reviews and monitoring usage reports to improve reporting capabilities
Assist with Office 365 Government G3 environment, permissions, and security associated with Power Bi products.
Provides support to end users
Requires mastery technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes.
Create supporting project and system documentation.
Work in a collaborative effort to conceptualize total systems and/or product solutions currently in place.
Ability to plan, organize, review, implement associated project milestones to completion. Assist with development of policies and procedures to conform and comply with client standard cyber security policy design related to information risk management, designation of data as to criticality, confidentiality, and protection.

The candidate will work closely with the Assigned Section Manager to identify, prioritize, and schedule workload and implementation to IT standards and procedures. The candidate will work closely with customer and subject matter experts for the system design and testing.

This will also include compliance to the client security policy/procedures as well as integrating systems when possible to streamline staff workflows, user security, and data correction.

Experience with security and data classification related to CDC, HIPAA, and CJIS.
Ability to establish positive working relationships with technical staff, customers and others involved in data-centric management.
Knowledge of Information Technology Field, best practices, organization and operations
Ability to integrate technical systems with client goals and objectives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience.

Remote Work Availability: 75%
The position will be utilized for 40 hours per week for the duration of this project. The selected candidate should be able to work flexible hours where it may be necessary for work to be completed outside traditional business hours.
