Performs complex buying strategies to purchase and arrange timely deliveries of supplies and materials; expedites as needed and serves as liaison between vendors and users, getting prior approval for purchases in excess of established limits. Resolves complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices. Updates project plans and purchasing systems; reviews and analyzes requisitions and supply plans for domestic and international purchases. Negotiates prices, terms and quality requirements; prepares requests for quotes and assists in the development of new supply sources; evaluates market conditions. Performs value analysis to identify cost improvements.You will be working with a cross functional team to develop, lead and deliver commodity strategies, lead sourcing projects to achieve Total cost reduction and deliver a weatherproof supply chain.How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)Lead sourcing actives and negotiations for medium / high value aerospace and industrial type components to optimize cost opportunities and contract coverage and undertake major contractual and price negotiations with exiting key suppliers.To develop and deploy tailored supply chain strategies for the business unit driving long-term improvements in quality, cost and delivery performance.Support internal procurement transformation programs.Co-ordinate and interface with global supply chain management counterparts, global senior stakeholders and other procurement organizations within the client and make sourcing recommendations at business unit and client sourcing board levels.Report on plans, activities, and results to direct and functional managers.Ensure a close cooperation with internal customers to ensure customer care and early involvement.Foster usage of e-procurement tools with the vision to enhance data, increase automation, drive standardization of management information dashboards, and encourage supplier collaboration.What You Bring (requirements)Bachelor’s degree or related work experience (8+ years) required.8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing/commodity managementExcellent commercial, contractual, and project management acumen.Previous experience ideally within a manufacturing / engineering setting.Knowledge of working with a global supplier base, in a matrix environment.Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Outstanding Excel skills and experience in continuous improvement methodologies including Lean & 6 Sigma.Experience working as a strategy consultant and/or holding a law degree.strategic sourcing.strong analytic skill. strong negotiation skills and contract management. have experience manufacturing environment.Notes:8am to 5pmVIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
