Description:The product management function defines and develops new products, manages cross-organization efforts to ensure approval, then directs their introduction.The function plans, develops and implements new products. Products tend to be data- and technology-based (e.g., registration, ecommerce, search, directory, email, advertising products).When they apply to existing content areas, products tend to be special features for existing programs (e.g., social media and games, travel products, entertainment, financial portfolios, clothes fitting tools, up sell tools, etc.).
