Role Definition • The Product Owner is a full-time role who is responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the team and ensuring that the team backlog is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs. • The PO has a significant role in leading and maximizing the value produced by the team and ensuring stories meet the user’s needs and comply with the definition of done. They will collaborate closely with the PdM. Responsibilities • Prepare and participate in PI planning - heavily involved in program backlog refinement and prep for Program Increment (PI) planning and also play a significant role in the planning event itself.o Product owner typically reviews and contributes to the program vision, roadmap, and content presentations. They are responsible for understanding the vision of the epic/program, strategy and their team's involvement in the steppingstones.o Before the planning event, the PO is to conduct business analysis, elicit requirements and decompose the work into appropriately sized user stories with clear acceptance criteria,o During the event, the PO is involved with refining story definition, providing the clarifications necessary to assist the team with their story estimates and sequencing. The entire agile team, which includes the PO, also work together to determine their team PI objectives for the upcoming PI. • Execute Iteration - maintain the team backlog, iteration planning, just-in-time story elaboration, accepting stories, understand enabler, participate in team demo and retrospective. • Execute Program - During each PI, the PO coordinate dependencies with other POs in weekly PO sync events. The PO also have an instrumental role in producing the system demo for program and value stream stakeholders. • Continuous Improvements – provide insight/oversight on the performance of enhancements as it relates to customer satisfaction including providing recommendations to make continuous improvementsVIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
