Job Description


Production Operator 1

This is an entry-level role that will provide training and the opportunity to work for a global company with a highly regulated work environment.
A production worker completes a wide variety of production and manufacturing related tasks in Fill/Pack Finished Production Areas.
This role will be involved in manufacturing medical diagnostic test kits.
Position requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, lab coats and safety shoes. PPE will be provided by the client.
Individuals will be required to use a perch stool or stand in a fixed position for long periods of time.
Position requires lifting materials up to 50 lbs. Based on business needs individuals may be required to work overtime and/or may be asked to modify their work hours.

Responsibilities and Job Tasks, may include, but are not limited to:

Stage kitting material to support production builds
Inspect and package finished product.
Verify raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain correct components and quantities.
Assist and partner with support personnel to troubleshoot manufacturing related issues.
Follow production area procedures and area guidelines as written.
Comply with quality system and regulatory agencies: FDA, ISO, OSHA, etc.
Follow all area safety rules and procedures.

High school diploma or equivalent degree is required.

Production/Manufacturing environment

Good manufacturing practices
PC Skills (MS Office Software, Outlook, Word, Documentum, etc.)

Basic computer skills are needed to read the training manuals.
No manufacturing experience is needed, as this is an entry level manufacturing position. Everything is trainable, including the pallet jack.
High School Diploma/GED required; no college needed
The training period is approximately 2-3 weeks. They can be trained on first shift for those 2-3 weeks to expedite obtaining PKI cards, log on info, etc.
The environment is fast paced with a lot of standing. It’s going to be material handling in one way or another. There are team leads and they work in groups of 8-9 people.
What type of products will the workers be packing into boxes and moving around with the pallet jack? : - E-agents, chemicals inside small bottles that hospitals use to test blood, etc. These are biohazardous materials.
