Production Operator

Job Description

Assemble and inspect small optical components in a fast-paced production environment. This role involves working with precision hand tools, performing soldering tasks, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities:
Assemble small optical parts using hand tools
Perform soldering and follow detailed work instructions
Inspect components to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

Qualifications:
Experience with small parts or precision assembly
Basic soldering skills (or willingness to be trained)
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
Commitment to safety and quality
Must be able to read, write and use basic math; maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing repetitive task; work with basic chemicals

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing detailed assembly work.
Manual dexterity to handle small components and precision tools.
Visual acuity for inspecting small parts and identifying imperfections.

Work Environment:
Production floor environment requiring use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Fast-paced, team-oriented setting with a focus on continuous improvement and quality.

This will be a combination of Assembly (90%) and Material Handling (10%)

Notes:
1st Shift Hours: 7AM-3:30PM OT required based on business needs.
