Position Overview



As a Production Set-up Mechanic – 2nd shift, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety or routine manufacturing functions in one or more of the following areas:
Setting up, calibrating and repairing high volume filling and packaging machinery.
Assisting in resolving routine manufacturing equipment related problems affecting daily operations.
Recording maintenance activities in Cal PM software application.
Communicating line performance at daily huddles.

Required education, skills and experience to have success in this role:
HS diploma or GED equivalent
Strong troubleshooting skills
Good understanding of mechanical, pneumatic fluidic and basic electronic control systems
Ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities
Ability to follow and adhere to written work instructions
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must be comfortable working autonomously or in small groups

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience include:
Basic knowledge of machine shop equipment
Experience with computers, including office applications
1-3 years’ experience setting up, maintaining and repairing high volume filling and packaging machinery.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a mechanically inclined professional with hands-on equipment maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, experience working in operational or production environments, and the ability to communicate effectively while supporting multiple areas of a facility. They should be comfortable responding to equipment issues throughout the shift and working as part of a team-oriented maintenance group.

Key Responsibilities
Set up, maintain, and repair production machinery.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and production line problems.
Respond to operator requests and provide mechanical support throughout the facility.
Follow written work instructions and established procedures.
Prioritize maintenance and repair tasks based on operational needs.

Experience & Education Requirements
Experience: Preferred 2–5 years of relevant experience
Candidates must have experience:
Setting up machinery
Maintaining machinery
Repairing machinery
Troubleshooting equipment
Working in a production/manufacturing environment
Education: High school diploma required.
