Job Responsibilities:Day-to-day safe and reliable operation of the hydrogen / syngas plantOperational checks of equipment, monitoring performance, making and logging equipment rounds, safety and other equipment inspections as assigned, monitoring and permitting maintenance work, equipment isolation, preventative maintenance as assigned, trouble shooting operating issues, reporting process and equipment deviations, log entry, manual control of equipment, and writing and following proceduresParticipate in the Life Critical Safety ProgramSupport and comply with all safety, health, and environmental procedures as defined by site and corporate personnel.Support and comply with all process safety management practices and operate within the established quality systems, reporting any deficiencyMake suggestions to improve plant safety, efficiency and quality.Operate the hydrogen / syngas plant in a safe, efficient, and reliable manner.Ability to communicate with customer to coordinate feed and product delivery activities.Develop equipment purging and isolation plans as requiredPrepare equipment for maintenance activities in a safe mannerEnter work orders into CMMS as requireDisplay proper attitudes and work ethics and have the ability to follow directionsProvide on call assistance or work additional shifts when required.Actively participate in training programsDevelop or revise operating procedures as appropriatePerform other duties as assigned by the Plant ManagerRequirements:High school diploma or GED required; 2 year associates degree in a technical field or technical training preferred2+ years of technical training and/or operations experience desiredAbility to work 12 hour rotating shiftsAbility to use computers with knowledge of Google Workspace.Ability to work in a team environmentDemonstrated good verbal and written communication skills in order to deal effectively with management and external customersKnowledge and understanding of instrumentation, rotating equipment, and piping systems.Demonstrated self motivated attitudePhysical Requirements:Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, FRC clothingHas full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbsAbility to climb and ascend vertical ladders as requiredAbility to enter and work in confined spacesAbility to wear a respiratorNote :Estimated hours per week: 72 hoursWork Schedule + Time Zone: 6 am to 6 pm or 6 pm to 6 amTemp to Hire (Y/N) maybe, depends on performance and team structure in the futureStart onsite day 1SHIFT DETAILS:The 554 shift means that the operator works 5 days, then off 5 days, works 4 days, and then the cycle continues in the pattern. The hours worked per day is 12 hours.Every shift on switches from nights to days; i.e. 5 days on 5 off then 4 nights then 5 off then 5 days, etc.Day shift is 6am to 6pmNight shift is 6pm to 6amVIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
