Job Description

Responsibilities:
Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers working on moderately complex tasks.
Offer input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiency and team functionality.
Ensure successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders, including cloud platform engineering teams, to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable cloud applications.
Execute creative software design, development, and troubleshooting to resolve complex technical challenges.
Develop secure, high-quality production code and review/debug code written by others.
Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to enhance operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Influence peers and thought leaders to drive awareness and adoption of emerging technologies.
Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, opportunity, and respect within the team.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
Minimum 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical challenges.
Hands-on leadership at code level in Python, Azure SDK, and proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Strong ability to guide and coach teams toward achieving goals aligned with strategic initiatives.
Experience in hiring, developing, and recognizing technical talent.
Expertise in Azure services - Storage, Compute, Integration, IAM, and Network.
Practical experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Azure cloud-native solutions.
Proficiency in automation and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker.
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Knowledge of Azure policy writing, testing, and cloud security best practices, with a strong understanding of Azure governance.
Demonstrated experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Understanding of Azure AI services.
In-depth knowledge of the services industry and related IT systems.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
