Description:Position SummaryThe Project Coordinator will support cybersecurity initiatives within the Statewide Information Security and Privacy Office (SISPO). This role ensures effective coordination, documentation, and communication across internal teams, external partners, and statewide stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTrack and support progress across cybersecurity projects involving Governance/Risk/Compliance, and Engineering teamsCoordinate communication between internal teams and external stakeholdersMaintain project documentation, workflows, and task trackersSupport grant-related reporting and compliance efforts, including the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP)Schedule and facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder briefings (in-person, hybrid, and virtual)Monitor deliverables and timelines to support adherence to state and federal requirementsContribute to project implementation, evaluation, and process improvementsPrepare internal reports and executive briefings, and maintain organized project recordsMinimum Qualifications2+ years of experience in project coordination or program supportStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-throughAbility to manage competing tasks and deadlines effectivelyProficiency in Google Suite, Excel, and presentation toolsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyFamiliarity with Information Security terminology and project documentation practicesExperience with cloud-based file sharing (e.g., Google Drive, SharePoint) and conducting online research to support projects.Understanding of basic project management principles and toolsPreferred QualificationsAssociate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceExperience supporting or managing state or federal grant-funded projectsFamiliarity with cybersecurity or information technology projectsExposure to Agile, Scrum, or Lean project methodologiesExperience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets, Lucidchart, or similar platformsProject management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP)Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT) to support research, writing, and task automationNotes:Hybrid - in office for quarterly meetings VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
