Position General Summary:
- The Lead Project Manager is responsible for managing projects and deliverables against a timeline, budget and scope in order to recognize and mitigate risks. The Lead Project Manager manages resources, schedules, financials and adheres to the EPMO best practice processes throughout the life of the project. The Lead Project Manager manages the tasks on a day-to-day basis to verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost in order to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.
Essential Position Functions:
- Report on project success criteria results: reporting includes measuring against established metrics, adherence to testing requirements and deployment management activities
- Create a problem-solving environment: work creatively and analytically using skills that demonstrate teamwork, innovation and a focus on solving results
- Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
- Prepare estimates and a detailed project plan for all phases of the project
- Analyze and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes
- Assist as needed in dispute, negotiation, arbitration and/or litigation
- Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
- Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
- Act as an internal quality control check for the project
- Define the Statement of Work and Specifications for the requested goods and services
- Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and facilitates the project management team meetings as well as other required events associated with the needs of the projects
- Define success criteria and key performance indicators and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
- Provide status reporting by communicating across leadership levels regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues
- Manage project scope and changes against the project’s timeline and budget requirements
- Practice project management principles, methods and techniques
- Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
- Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
- Own project life cycle: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment
- Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
- Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
- Tracks project risks and facilitates action to keep project on track
- Provide leadership for the project team: develop and motivate team members to meet project goals by adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
- Ensures project milestones are met
- Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
- Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards
- Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices
- Completes review of Best Practices and facilitates operational improvements
- Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others

Minimum Requirements Education/Licensure/Skill/Expertise/Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Industry certification in project management practice (preferred)
- Ten years of project management or related experience
- Ten years of experience working with business stakeholders
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholder and/or senior leadership
- Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Demonstrate skill in attention to detail
- Ability to function effectively in a high demand environment
- Working knowledge of general office practices, methods and equipment, including computer skills in Microsoft Office suite of products
