Description:

Every day will be unique due to the variety of projects, and where they are in the project life cycle. A typical day will include checking progress in Engineering/Design, ensuring demand for components is released on time, obtaining status updates on open requisitions and purchase orders, reviewing actual cost vs budget, updating schedules, attending project review meetings, and coordinating deliveries. One of the most critical daily activities is client communication. Proactive communication of schedule changes and responding to questions/concerns promptly is one of the most important aspects of the position.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
Individually manage all aspects of multiple Modernization & Upgrade projects and Inspection/Repair projects simultaneously through project execution and warranty phases.
Ability to interact with internal partners including multiple client facilities, third part Suppliers and external Customers to ensure assigned projects are completed on time, on budget with high levels of quality and Customer satisfaction. Report to Senior Management on the status of assigned projects.
Identify risks and manage/mitigate their impact to the overall project success
Manage revenue and EBIT targets for the business through successful and timely completion of projects
Participate in / lead improvement initiatives tied to Risk Management, OTD, Cost, Quality, Customer Satisfaction or other business critical needs

What You Bring (requirements)
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in an Engineering, Business or Project Management discipline. PMI or equivalent client PM certification is beneficial.
A proven track record with minimum 5+ years’ recent experience working in a Project Management /Project Lead role. Self-driven, motivated with a strong work ethic.
Customer focused, collaborative mindset with proven ability to multitask and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment frequently under internal and/or external time constraints.
Strong written, verbal and problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience communicating effectively both internally with peers/management and externally with customers
Detail orientated individual with strong proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office & Microsoft Project.
Extensive knowledge and experience with steam turbine design fundamentals, subcomponents, assembly and repair methods. Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, BOM structures and drawings required. Previous experience with other types of rotating turbomachinery or roles in Marketing & Sales and/or Field Service considered a plus.
