Position Overview


Description:

Maintain FSQA sampling programs, support quality evaluations and quality programs with good communication and support to FSQA team:

Coordinate with internal partners (PD, warehouse, analytical lab, testing agency, etc) to receive products/pallets to the FSQA lab and ship out samples to plants or testing locations.
Maintain current inventory of samples and communicate active inventory of samples with FSQA team.
Submit samples to Analytical lab for testing to include logging sample information into analytical database, test selection, labeling of samples and coordinating with analytical team for results.
Support Competitive Quality program with monthly schedule updates, sample coordination and updating competitive and plant data entry as needed in Excel and in PowerPoint.
Ability to learn and utilize unique software for inventory management, lab testing requests and to review and pull in plant analytical data.
Help prepare for FSQA meetings with sample presentation including DOQ (Day of Quality), team meetings and quality monitoring evaluations.
Strong general computer knowledge and ability to navigate in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Maintain the quality lab and inventory and discard samples when expired with communication to project owners of expiration date
Other tasks as required.

Requirements:

Minimum of High School degree with some college preferred. Interest in Food Science/ Nutrition a plus
Strong general computer skills with working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability work with independently to meet or exceed deadlines with minimal supervision.
Can lift light weights up to 25 lb
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and change.
Good verbal and written communication skills plus good organizational skills.

Notes:
Schedule: 20 Hrs/week Tues, Wed, Thurs with some flexibility for additional days
