Job Description


Quality Assurance consists of the development and implementation of effective methods and procedures and the use of proper equipment to effectively respond to requirements for accuracy of company products and services.Under limited direction, perform complex quality assurance assignments requiring diversified knowledge of engineering, manufacturing and quality assurance to cost effectively accomplish the organizations goals and objectives. Proactively seek and implement initiatives to improve operations and increase customer satisfaction.

Mission Statement:

Act with safety, efficiency, quality and productivity to assure that products and systems meet stated requirements. Employs various test protocols and applies standards to ensure quality.

Main Accountabilities:

Take full responsibility for Quality of assigned eHouse projects and performs following tasks:
Develop and implement Project Quality Plan for assigned jobs, Perform Structural, Mechanical and Electrical In-Process inspections of the eHouses at the vendors location.
Identify quality defects or non-conformance issues, generate Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) to the vendors and lead the closure of open quality issues on projects.
Co-ordinate Integrated Factory Acceptance Tests with customer, suppliers, and internal stake holders at the eHouse vendors, lead resolution of punch list elements prior to shipment.
Ensure that established quality procedures are adhered to during the project lifecycle, and all checklists are signed off prior to the shipment release of the eHouses.
Develop Safety plan for the project and ensure the Safety and EHS processes are being followed by the client representatives, vendors & customers. Take the lead in documenting, investigating, and resolving any safety related issues during the project execution.
Develop a cooperative relationship approach with the vendors ensuring that the client Quality standards are met.
Take pro-active measures based on lessons learned to prevent re-occurrence of potential issues that can affect smooth project execution.
Identify opportunities for improvement in project execution or product design and communicate to the engineering team.
Support the organization with maintaining ISO certification through strong adherence to established QMS.

Health, safety and environment (HSE): Reinforces and maintains a culture of Health & Safety in all project operations.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

Qualification/Requirements:

BS/BA Degree
Fluent in English. Spanish Language is a Plus.
Previous E-House including LV and MV equipment experience.
At least 3 years of field experience in Electrical Distribution industry.
Minimum 3 years additional experience in Quality, manufacturing, Supply Chain, field services.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, MS Project, other project management tools.

Has a Customer Centric behavior, is able to deal with complex Customers (internal and external) and meet specific requirements when needed. Strives for achieving the Project goals and Customer satisfaction.
Has passion for the work "well done first time", intellectual rigor and professional discipline while running the project portfolio. Good knowledge of Power Equipment products, processes, and solutions.
Good team player.
This role requires some travel on short notice.
