Job Description
Quality Assurance consists of the development and implementation of effective methods and procedures and the use of proper equipment to effectively respond to requirements for accuracy of company products and services. Under limited direction, perform complex quality assurance assignments requiring diversified knowledge of engineering, manufacturing and quality assurance to cost effectively accomplish the organizations goals and objectives. Proactively seek and implement initiatives to improve operations and increase customer satisfaction.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Process Quality Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing customer satisfaction by resolving complaints, analyzing defects, and providing actionable solutions. You will focus on ensuring the quality of Power Distribution Units (PDU), Static Transfer Switches (STS), and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) for data centers and critical power applications. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to client's commitment to delivering high-quality products and services in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, and inspection checklists, while deriving Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters and establishing Q-gates.
Monitor and analyze First Pass Yield metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
Proactively monitor customer complaints, conducting thorough analyses to determine root causes, and implementing corrective actions; Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) during customer audits, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and certification audits (UL, CSA, ISO), ensuring all requirements are met and issues are promptly addressed.
Perform COPQ analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities, implementing initiatives that reduce defects, improve efficiency, and enhance overall profitability; Mapping current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement through automation.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering or related field with PLUS minimum 2 years of experience
Proficient in quality tools like FMEA, 7 QC tools, 5S, 5Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC & 8D Root cause analysis
Familiar with key industry standards such as UL1561, NEMA ST-20, IEEE C57.12.01, IEEE C57.12.91, DOE 2016, UL891, and CSA C22.2, which enhances compliance and product reliability.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
