A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
Certified NDE (Nondestructive Examination) Level II in PT (Penetrant Testing) and VT (Visual Inspection) among others, to provide inspection services both in-process and at final to drawing, specification and/or standard operating procedure within the client Electrical Components Plant.
Will provide inspection services both in-process and at final to drawing, specification and/or standard operating procedure within the client Electrical Components Plant, applying NDE (Nondestructive Examination) techniques such as in Penetrant Testing (PT), Visual Testing (VT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT).
Will prepare detailed documentation of all findings and results via the corresponding electronic systems.
Must be level II certified in at least PT or VT. Experience with Boroscoping techniques and Level II in UT and PAUT is desirable. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years NDE experience.
Meet the company Level II certification requirements in the specific NDE method through testing and passing the specific, general, and practical exams. Provide objective evidence of hours and level II certification letter or documentation. Must be able to maintain their level II status.
May be required to travel occasionally in this position.
Experience with gauging, drawings, specification, standard operating procedures. Familiar with the metric system for measurement.
Digital literacy: Microsoft Office proficiency is a requirement. SAP knowledge is a plus.
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
You will provide a variety of non-destructive testing techniques on Large Generator Components.
Will evaluate critical to quality (CTQ) dimensional measurements, and parameters using standard and special gauging. Perform NDE inspections to specification or drawing requirements. Document detailed findings via the appropriate electronic information system.
Will communicate findings and concerns in verbal and written form (for example, written report or diagrams).
Will validate for accuracies and upload NDE reports in timely manner.
Train other QA or NDE Technicians on VT, PT, Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT).
Work with NDE level III on development and applications for the changing environment in NDE Technology. Train and master new NDE Technology as required to support the business.
Will deal with NDT (Non-destructive Testing) support equipment, maintenance, and supplies. Will calibrate UT equipment.
Will analyze working environment and propose/implement improvements. Participates and takes initiative in implementing preventive and corrective actions.
Will work safely and report immediately any safety concerns to management.
What You Bring (requirements)
High school diploma. Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or related science field is desirable.
Must be level II certified at least in one of PT or VT. Preferrence will be given to candidates with experience on Boroscoping techniques and certified Level II in UT & PAUT. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years NDE experience.

Typical work week is 36 h (3 days per week) Weekend Night: Friday - Sunday 5:00 pm – 5:30 am
