Description:Quality Lab TechnicianTHE ROLE:The Quality Returns Verification Team is looking for a technician to work onsite at our client facility. The role involves a combination of Computer System Assembly/Operation/Debug and Maintenance, Inventory Management, and Shipping Logistics. Experience and comfort with PC hardware is required.THE PERSON:Organized, with attention to detail and ability to follow defined processesCan work in a team environment, while also able to work independentlyExperience with computer system assembly, operation and troubleshootingGood interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to multi-taskKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:System Building – Assembly and validation of benchtop computer platforms in the labSystem Debug – Troubleshooting and resolution of issues with platforms as neededSystem Maintenance – Regular monitoring, maintenance and assessment of platformsFlashing BIOS versions, updating firmware, installing OS softwareVisual Inspection and cleaning of CPUsTesting CPUs on multiple systems for verification, using proprietary test suite, and logging test results in the data capture toolInventory management of hardware and CPUs in the labShipping Logistics – Handle documentation and communications with Global Logistics team regarding incoming and outgoing shipmentsPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:2+ years of experience with PC hardware assembly, operation and debugExperience handling computer components in an ESD-safe environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and issue tracking systems (JIRA or similar)Previous experience with Inventory ManagementPrevious experience testing CPUsPrevious experience working in an RMA team roleACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:High school diploma or equivalent required VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
