Quality Lab Technician

THE ROLE:
The Quality Returns Verification Team is looking for a technician to work onsite at our client facility. The role involves a combination of Computer System Assembly/Operation/Debug and Maintenance, Inventory Management, and Shipping Logistics. Experience and comfort with PC hardware is required.


THE PERSON:
Organized, with attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes
Can work in a team environment, while also able to work independently
Experience with computer system assembly, operation and troubleshooting
Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to multi-task

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
System Building – Assembly and validation of benchtop computer platforms in the lab
System Debug – Troubleshooting and resolution of issues with platforms as needed
System Maintenance – Regular monitoring, maintenance and assessment of platforms
Flashing BIOS versions, updating firmware, installing OS software
Visual Inspection and cleaning of CPUs
Testing CPUs on multiple systems for verification, using proprietary test suite, and logging test results in the data capture tool
Inventory management of hardware and CPUs in the lab
Shipping Logistics – Handle documentation and communications with Global Logistics team regarding incoming and outgoing shipments

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
2+ years of experience with PC hardware assembly, operation and debug
Experience handling computer components in an ESD-safe environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and issue tracking systems (JIRA or similar)
Previous experience with Inventory Management
Previous experience testing CPUs
Previous experience working in an RMA team role

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
High school diploma or equivalent required
