Position Overview



Analyzes verbal or statistical data to prepare reports and studies for use by professional workers in a variety of scientific or engineering areas.
May be proficient in qualitative and/or quantitative lab methods.
Includes all levels of education and experience. 1-4 years experience required or a BS degree.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical, electrical, conditioning, length, OD, and visual tests on medical devices
Follow detailed written and verbal instructions
Maintain accurate documentation using good documentation practices
Communicate clearly with engineers regarding test results and observations
Adhere to safety protocols and use appropriate safety equipment
Utilize lab tools and equipment including calipers, MTS, multimeters, digital thermometers, force gauges, Cognex, LabView, and hand tools
Maintain a work balance of approximately 85% lab time and 15% desk time)

Required Qualifications:
1–4 years of relevant experience or post-high school education
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work independently
Familiarity with medical device testing or product assembly preferred
Experience in R&D or testing environments is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Document drafting experience is beneficial

Candidate Profile:
Solid work history with demonstrated reliability (e.g., 2+ years at the same company)
Career progression or transferable skills relevant to testing or mechanical work
AA degree or post-secondary education preferred
BS in engineering or master’s degree is considered overqualified.
Candidates with BS degrees in chemistry, biomedical, or physics are typically not a fit due to long-term retention concerns
Ideal candidates are hands-on, focused, and interested in long-term growth within the team—not seeking a steppingstone role
