Job Description:Evaluate and respond to youth health concerns; advise youth regarding health treatments proceduresObtain and process blood, urine or their sample specimensMonitor, records and report changes in a youth’s vitals or health condition; administer medications to youthand observe youth for potential adverse medication reactionsConduct intake health screenings for newly incarcerated youth; provide direct patient and emergency care toyouth; and provide emergency care to staff when necessaryConsult and coordinate youth treatment plans with health services team members; obtain medical files and recordsMaintain medical files and records; and ensure medical supplies and equipment are stocked and accounted forAdminister vaccinations; assist with annual tuberculosis (TB) skin tests;Performing other duties as assignedQualifications:Professional nursing methods and techniques Observing and assessing behavior and progress of patientsProblem-solvingVerbal and written communicationAbide by nursing regulationsListen, observe, assess and respond to medical emergenciesEvaluate, analyze, make independent decisionsRespond to medical issues/inquiries in a professional mannerWork with professional and non-professional staff to ensure health and safety of residentsEstablish and maintain effective work relationshipsRequirements:1+ years RN experienceMust possess an active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State Preferred:Corrections Experience Preferred.Notes:Schedule:Working Thursday, Friday Saturday (10-hour shifts), 30 Hours Per Week.
