Summary:
The main function of a research & development (R&D) engineer is to innovate, design, and develop new products, processes, and solutions through extensive research and development. A typical research & development engineer is responsible for turning ideas into viable products or systems, requiring a blend of creativity, scientific knowledge, and practical technical skills.

Job Responsibilities:
Identify and analyze customer needs, market trends, and technology advancements to propose new product research and development projects.
Plan and execute experimental test programs to evaluate materials, processes, and prototype models.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and marketing to determine the feasibility, cost implications, and market potential of new products.
Document each phase of the R&D process, ensuring that findings are recorded for patent applications, and compliance with regulation.
Utilize engineering software to simulate, model, and visualize designs, and make necessary improvements based on test results.
Stay current with industry standards and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge and comply with regulatory demands.

AI Application Engineer:
Experience with AI Application development using AI models
Familiarity with fine-tuning, and reinforcement learning
Hands on experience around AI application development.
Agentic AI and Machine Learning experience.
Using opensource AI models.
Familiarity with AI inference, and open source frameworks such as PyTorch, vLLM, SGLang, etc.
Need familiarity with software scripting. (Python, Java, etc.).
Candidate must have Software background.
