Job Description


401(k) Retirement Analyst

Overall Support the retirement benefits strategy, policies, procedures, and administration for the Company’s US and Puerto Rico retirement plans.
Assist with workstreams such as weekly/bi-weekly funding, respond to participant plan inquiries via ticketing system, analyze and reconcile data discrepancies between vendor and client payroll/HRIS files.
This role requires flexibility to take on new and unexpected assignments as well as multitasking skills to handle different projects at once.
Strong collaboration skills to engage with other client internal depts as well as external providers.
This role will report to the Retirement Plan Manger and be required to work independently as well as work closely in partnership with team members.

Main Accountabilities:
Support day-to-day retirement team’s administrative needs.
Support data analysis, reconciliation, internal process audits as needed.
Collaborate with Payroll/Vendor Partners to resolve indicative data and financial discrepancies.
Ability to read, interpret and ensure operational compliance with Plan document.
Contribution funding and asset reconciliation.
Assist with running reports, as needed.
Address the participant inquiries that can’t be answered by our recordkeeper.
Support annual 401k audit inquiries and respond to specific needs and requests, both internal and external, to ensure a successful audit.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:
At least 5 years of 401(k) plan-related administration experience.
Knowledge of retirement benefits and related concepts (Loans, Hardships, 5500 filings, etc.)
Intermediate to advanced-level Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applica-tions (Mail Merge, etc.)
Critical thinking/deductive reasoning skills to investigate and resolve issues.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Must maintain high level of confidentiality to protect employee privacy/confidential data.
Highly ethical, flexible, inquisitive & logical.
Strong customer focus, communication skills and a collaborative spirit are a must.
Analytical skills and ability to learn new processes while adhering to SOPs.
Strong attention to detail.

Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, HR, business administration or related program with no less than 5 years of experience supporting benefits programs or working with benefit con-sultants/brokers/TPA or internal corporate HR.
Understanding of retirement regulations: IRS/DOL/ERISA
Prior experience with a Human Resources Information System (Workday preferred).
Pension/NQDC knowledge is a plus but not required.

Top 3 hard must have skills:
Prior industry experience/knowledge in retirement plan administration
Intermediate to advanced level skillset in Excel (Vlookup, Pivot tables) and MS Office
Analytical skills

Highest level of education required:
Bachelors

Notes:
Onsite – Hybrid schedule with 3 days in office/2 remotely once candidate is trained.
