As a Safety Valve Assembler, you will assemble complex components per assembly drawings / bill of material. Performs functional testing on assemblies. Tests assemblies per customer and/or division criteria. Operates test equipment in compliance with engineering standards. Applies settings, calibrates and maintains assembly tools. Performs torquing of various components. Distributes quality notifications (qn's).Repairing safety relief valves to National Board VR CodeTesting safety valves with air, water, & steamReading and interpret manufacturers drawings and spring chartsUnderstanding of Steam boiler operating and testingApplying measurement & math skills to verify critical dimensionsPerforming machine and hand lapping of nozzles and discsPerforming valve write-upUnderstanding the Pressure and leak test valves to National Board, API, and ASME standardsWork environment:Very fast paced and noisy, long-Standing HoursThe employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.WorkshopQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent. 1+ years related experience1+ Years experience with the Assembly of Safety Valves is preferredExperience working with Dial CalipersExperience working with MicrometersExperience working with Consolidated products a plus)Nice to have:Reading and interpretation of assembly manualsGood communicatorAttention detailSAP familiarity(ERP systems)Shifts:1st Shift: 7am to 3pm Monday – FridayOT and weekends
