Job Description


Clinical Data Analyst :

The client is seeking a full-time Clinical Data Analyst to work with our client .

Consultant under the direction of the Manager, and in collaboration with other members of the division, assists, develops and maintains database systems, reports, and analyses used by the organization for performance improvement activities, including but not limited to clinical benchmarking, case management, and/or patient safety initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS – ESSENTIAL

A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Epidemiology, statistics, computer science, or a related field is required and equivalent work experience required.
Two (2) years’ work experience performing comparable quantitative and analytical type work.
Two (2) years’ work experience in maintaining and operating databases; spreadsheets, and word processing software, i.e., Word/WordPerfect, Excel/Quattropro, Presentations/PowerPoint, etc.
Two (2) years’ experience in healthcare, preferably in an acute care facility. A bachelor’s
degree in health care field may be substituted for this experience.
Prior experience in performance improvement (quality), healthcare preferred.
Experience to demonstrate utilizing ad hoc report writing tools.
Knowledge of ICD-9, CPT-4 coding preferred.
At least 2 years of SAS Programming and 2 years of SQL
Must have ability to us SAS tools to produce results and deliverables
Data visualization tools as SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Studio.
2+ years of SAS\SQL programming, data architecting and technical design.
Be proficient in Base SAS programming (DATA step), SQL programming (i.e., use of SQL pass-through or PROC SQL), as well as the SAS Macro language for use in making code more efficient.
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving
