Job Description

DESCRIPTION and RESPONSIBILITIES

Client is seeking a full-time Senior SAS Developer / Report Developer-Analyst consultant to work with our client

Client is a leading economic consulting firm focused on providing economic, statistical, and financial analysis; client and consulting support; and expert testimony to the world's leading companies and law firms.

The Senior Consultant role is a very demanding but fulfilling position that is responsible for most of the programming required on projects, including ensuring that all programs are completely error-free and that all projects are on or ahead of schedule. Senior Consultants will serve as mentors to other junior staff, providing feedback and guidance on projects.
The client requires an Advanced Base SAS\SQL programmer\developer with strong reporting and analytics experience. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, with handson, proven experience with SAS programming to maintain and develop advanced SAS coding techniques to write maximum efficient and performance optimized code.
The consultant will perform data management, reporting and analytics for client cases.
SAS\SQL programming, Enterprise Guide reporting \ analytics to perform ad-hoc reporting to analyze, interpret data insights. The consultant must have excellent communication skills and must be able to communicate about the techniques developed and results of analysis both to management and other analysts in the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS – ESSENTIAL

• A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required and equivalent work experience required. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience developing reports and content with SAS 9.4 including:
• 3+ years of SAS\SQL programming, relevant working experience using SAS.
• Competency in MS office suite, SQL SAS, and other applicable tools
• Lead and/or actively participate in SAS knowledge-sharing activities.
• Be proficient in Base SAS programming (DATA step), SQL programming (i.e., use of SQL pass-through or PROC SQL), as well as the SAS Macro language for use in making code more efficient.
• Strong SAS Enterprise Guide experience
• MS-Excel experience is required.
• 3+ years of experience in validating, processing, and analyzing data (prior client
• consulting experience strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated understanding of economic damages and statistical concepts
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for presenting work product to managers and clients
• Ability to effectively respond to unexpected client requests and changing of task priorities
• General knowledge of labor and employment laws is preferred
• Extreme attention to detail
• Proven ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to balance several projects and client requests at once
• Willingness to work an unpredictable work schedule

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Implement appropriate quantitative methods after evaluating the completeness and quality of data
• Review case documents and data to formulate and evaluate various arguments and claims
• Create complicated excel models to estimate potential economic damages under a variety of different scenarios
• Ensure 100% accuracy of all programs and output
• Prepare written analyses, presentations, and exhibits of quantitative findings
• Communicate complex issues to non-technical audiences
• Actively contribute to all processes in the development and execution of a project work plan
• Keep senior team members informed of case work progress and issues
• Manage and mentor junior staff
• Assist with office recruiting and training efforts

Remote- work in India hours with a couple of hours overlapping with US EST hours for meetings and Co-Ordination.
