Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Client is seeking a full-time Junior SAS Developer / Report Developer-Analyst consultant to work with our client

The consultant will perform data management, reporting and analytics for investment portfolio metrics and management reporting. SAS\SQL programming, Enterprise Guide reporting \ analytics to perform ad-hoc reporting to analyze, interpret customer behaviors, product performance and trends. The consultant must have excellent communication skills and must be able to communicate about the techniques developed and results of analysis both to management and other analysts in the organization.


QUALIFICATIONS – ESSENTIAL

· A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required and equivalent work experience required.

· Experience developing reports and content with SAS 9.4 including:

· 2+ years of SAS\SQL programming, relevant working experience using SAS.

o Competency in MS office suite, SQL SAS, and other applicable tools

o Python, Power BI, R experience is a plus

· Have experience in Base SAS programming (DATA step), SQL programming (i.e., use of

SQL pass-through or PROC SQL), as well as the SAS Macro language for use in making code more efficient.

· Good written and spoken communications skills in English and thought-leadership skills.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

· Develop and response to Ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.

· Develop and create visual reports, dashboards and key metrics reporting.

· Take the lead on BI development efforts using SAS for companies in the investment portfolio

· Provide senior management with developer support on projects, including but not limited to: scenario-driven forecasts, business portfolio analytics, competitor and industry benchmarking, and key performance metrics (ROI, IRR, etc.)

· Working with large and confidential data sets to augment the due diligence process on new deals with advanced data analytics

· Co-ordinate with internal IT department and/or external IT vendors on the automation of previously manual data verification/entry procedures

· Understand, review and be able to support SAS Programs across the investment Portfolio when back up support is required

Services may include focus on and require the Consultant to:

· Apply and demonstrate expertise with efficient DATA step, SQL programming, SAS Macro programming, and Reporting and Summary.

· Must be able to read and understand existing coding and processing to troubleshoot and resolved issues as they arise.

· Demonstrate the ability to work with little direct supervision; Excellent troubleshooting skills; Imaginative, inquisitive, with a self-motivating personality and a strong work ethic; Customer focused demeanor.

· Gathering data requirements and designing/developing the Data Warehouse/ Data Marts

· Performing analytical and programming activities including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of integrating the data management solutions
