Job Description
SAS Technical Communications Writer :
The client team is looking for an experienced technical communicator.
In this role, you will be part of a team that provides internal and external customers with documentation and training solutions needed to deliver successful customer experiences and drive user adoption of custom client solutions. You will design, develop, and support solution delivery life-cycle documentation including, but not limited to, system design specifications,
requirements documentation, user guides, job aids, process documentation, RFP responses and more. In addition to documentation-based deliverables, you will partner with technical experts
to produce training materials including, but not limited to, recordings, job aids, and training presentations. We’re looking for
QUALIFICATIONS – ESSENTIAL
A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, English, Information Technology, or other appropriate field of study OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. and equivalent work experience required.
Five years of experience in a technical writer or similar role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Expertise in documentation development life cycle.
Experience collaborating and communicating with diverse teams.
Experience with version control and using style guides.
Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with Office 365 technologies.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with Camtasia and / or other screen recording and editing software.
Experience supporting large state and local government projects with extensive documentation requirements.
Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
Create, design, develop, review, and finalize technical documentation that supports SAS customer engagements.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of documentation and training deliverables.
Ensure adherence to SAS branding, style guide, and any project-specific template contractual requirements.
Verify quality and consistency for all customer documents and training materials by following documentation best practices.
Verify document integrity through version control.
Collaborate with other team members to review materials and recommend revisions in format or content.
