Description: As a Materials Specialist at client, you’ll play a pivotal role in the seamless operation of our manufacturing supply chain. Your expertise will facilitate the timely flow of materials necessary for efficient assembly, service, and inter-factory operations. This position is crucial to maintaining on-time delivery and ensuring the smooth execution of our production schedules. Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain Management: Coordinate and manage the flow of materials through a complex manufacturing supply chain, ensuring all components are in place for on-time delivery.Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain effective communication channels, fostering a collaborative environment.SAP-PP Proficiency: Leverage your knowledge in SAP-PP (Production Planning) to optimize scheduling and ensure the achievement of desired delivery metrics.Scheduling Expertise: Utilize your scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment to develop and implement efficient plans under tight lead times.Change Control: Demonstrate a foundational understanding of change control concepts to adapt and manage supply chain adjustments effectively.Legacy Systems Interactions: Engage with legacy material planning systems like the client to support service parts fulfillment seamlessly. Plans and schedules simple (fewer capacity constraints, fewer work centers, fewer process, lower change over complexity) manufacturing processes of all current production and service parts. Schedules requirements for material with regard to the client Production System including kanbans/triggers, delivery and achievement of the production schedule. May develop line sequencing of options. May provide work direction. Duties:Schedules production parts. Schedules service parts. Expedites production and purchased parts. Coordinates needed parts from other client departments. Coordinates and communicates the implementation of engineering and material changes. Assists the production department in manpower planning. Performs general administrative duties as needed to meet administrative support needs. Assists in coordinating the department's inventory integrity and accuracy, including production and scrap reporting. Qualifications:Education: 4-year degree in any business-related field.Experience:Manufacturing experience is a plus.Good computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel).Open to recent graduates – job is trainable.No gaps in employment history.Work Location: This position will spend roughly 90% of the time working on their feet on the shop floor. Additional Information:This position has the potential of driving a client-owned Gator on the shop floor after successful training completion.
